My Dog!

My Benji is so ridiculously funny…..I decided not to give him any chicken today so there’s only his normal Science Diet dog food. Needless to say, he hates it. So I go lay on the couch after putting it in his bowl and what does he do……walk over to the couch, jump up, stand beside my head, fart, and then jump down and head back to his bed!!!!! Seriously! What an attitude this one has! I was pissed but it was so funny that this was how he “told me off” that I could only laugh.

How Close Are Movies to Real Life

Okay, I was watching a movie called Afterlife with Christina Ricci and her character met her boyfriend at a restaurant and upon seeing her boyfriend and them ordering he proceeds to tell her that he got this really awesome job in Chicago. Before he can even finish telling her about it (and as the viewers know ask her to marry him) she gets angry and bursts out “You’re leaving me”. She goes on about how he should have told her earlier and how he didn’t have to buy her off. Then she continues to argue with him saying a few bad words and storms out of the restaurant where she then goes on and gets in an accident from her stupidity. My point is are there really people who act like this…..I mean the guy hadn’t finished three sentences before she jumped into her “No man will ever love me” mentality. Get a grip! Even the other day of watching Desperate Housewives when Lynette completely humiliated Tom for his male postpartum. Granted the disease sounds like a load of bullshallots but goodness knows her response I’m sure would knock any man down 2 feet. I admit I’m a very hard woman but there can’t possibly be people like these characters on tv……but with the world the way it is I’m sure there are and all I can do is shake my head.

Not So Sleepless in Seattle

Well I took my first and probably last visit to Seattle, WA. The flight was actually not that bad on the way there. I was completely exhausted so I must say that I slept so hard that I didn’t even realized we landed until I heard folks taking off their seatbelts. Well the trip was for work so I didn’t have a ton of time to explore all that Seattle has to offer but I did appreciate the fact that it did not rain once in the 4.5 days we were there! I don’t know why I always expect every city to have some thriving NY type of city life but I do and I’m quite used to that environment so needless to say Seattle most certainly is not anything similar to this. I believe that if I even tried to stay up late, the best place to do that would have been in a bar/restaurant that seemed a little too family oriented for the nightlife. Even though the nightlife/abundance of “my” typical activities weren’t there the place was still gorgeous and probably THE city I’ve felt the most safe in. It was a very pretty landscape and I think I might have enjoyed it much more if we had time to do many of the outdoor sports that residents of that area engage in. So after a somewhat boring and yet beautiful trip, I can now say I’ve been to three West Coast states. Maybe one day I’ll have the courage to spend time and money on a trip to a Mid-west state.
